The march was called for by the Popular Resistance Forces Council in commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of Yemen's Unity Day، May 22.

In a statement، the marchers called for liberating Taiz and the rest of Yemen and restoring the Yemeni state back from the terrorist sectarian group.

The statement said، "The Yemeni people firmly believe in their ability to overcome the conspiracy and will emerge as a united nation well and sound despite the plagues and disasters planted carefully by the enemies with the dynastic Houthi militia being the poisoned spearhead" used by the enemies.

Since September 2014، Yemen has been embroiled in a horrific conflict that has sparked the biggest humanitarian crisis in history.

The fighting has reportedly claimed the lives of about 150،000 people، while a further 200،000 people have perished from famine، according to UN estimates.
