Japan's Motor Co Toyota. opened its office in the Somali capital Mogadishu via SKA after a 27-year absence, on an occasion in Mogadishu attended by the Minister of Trade and Industry of the federal government Mohamed Abdi Hier Marier

  "We welcome the company's decision to reopen its office in Somalia after nearly 30 years," Mareye said. "This means the return of foreign investment in Somalia. The company's investments will create jobs for the Somalis and will play an important role in Somalia, Revitalizing the Somali Economy ".

Toyota will open other offices in various regions of the country and most of the cars used in Somalia are made by Toyota, the minister said.

For this occasion, the Toyota dealer in Somalia expressed his delight at the success of the company in the opening of its sub-office in Somalia after 12 months of hard work.

The inauguration of Toyota's subsidiary office comes at a time when Somalia is improving security, attracting international companies to invest in the country after years of civil war.
